The New York Jets picked up Chad Pennington in the first round of the 2000 NFL Draft after the quarterback graduated from Marshall University. In his first full season with the New York Jets, Pennington threw for more than 3,000 yards and 22 touchdowns, leading the team to their first AFC East title since 1998. Overcoming devastating and career-threatening injuries, Pennington has emerged as a solid field general and guided the rejuvenated Jets into the playoffs in 2006.
