Two of the greatest NFL players to ever wear a Chicago Bears uniform were Dick Butkus and Gale Sayers. Butkus a middle linebacker spent his entire pro career as a Bear wreaking havoc on opponents earning nine Pro Bowl invitations and living up to his nickname 'The Monster of the Midway.' He was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1979. Gale Sayers despite a career cut short by knee injuries amassed 9435 yards 4935 of them rushing and scored 336 points. He played in four Pro Bowls and was enshrined in the Hall of Fame in 1977.
