Jaromir Jagr joined the New York Rangers in early 2004 as a seasoned right wing hockey player ready to give the Rangers the boost they needed to end their six-year playoff drought. Jagr left professional play in his native Czech Republic as a first round draft pick by the Pittsburgh Penguins and has lived up to expectations becoming a five-time scoring leader and the 1999 NHL Most Valuable Player.
