Jon Lester has finally come into his own. Lester, drafted by the Boston Red Sox in 2002, quickly rose through the Sox' farm system and was considered one of baseball's top prospects. Just a few weeks after being called up to the big team in July 2006, however, tests to determine the extent of an apparent back injury revealed that Lester had lymphoma, a form of cancer. Lester has since made a full recovery and helped the Red Sox close out the 2007 World Series pitching the final game. Lester has continued his strong pitching in 2008 pitching the Red Sox 18th No Hitter in team history on May 19, 2008. Jon Lester has hand signed this Red Sox game used baseball.
