Mark Buehrle holds the unique distinction of having thrown both a no-hitter and a perfect game. On April 18 2007 Buehrle held the Texas Rangers hitless. It was the first no-hitter in U.S. Cellular Field history. On July 23 2009 at the same venue Buehrle turned the trick again this time registering a perfect game at the hands of the Tampa Bay Rays.
