STAFF ACCOUNTANT

The Position

We are currently looking to hire a Senior Accountant, reporting to the Controller whose responsibilities include

  • Perform month-end procedures & various account reconciliations and analyses
  • Coordinate all Accounting functions associated with processing of Inventory, Sales Orders, cash Application, vendor transactions and contractual compliance
  • Verify prices, agreements and appropriate approvals
  • Oversee cash management, inventory control and sales activities
  • Establish in-depth understanding of AX & KWI databases
  • Preparation of monthly journal entries
  • Perform cash applications, credit card charges and refunds
  • Assist with accounts payables
  • Assist with a/r collections
  • Process chargebacks from credit cards
  • Various cash and sales reports
  • Assist with customer service inquiries
  • Establish and maintain databases of key information
  • Evaluate, recommend & enforce internal controls
  • Special projects for Steiner Sports or Last Licks
  • Work closely with Controller & CFO / COO

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 5+ years of relevant experience
  • In depth knowledge of inventory systems
  • Knowledge of Accounting principles, procedures & standards
  • Understanding of General Ledger charts of account
  • Detail oriented with strong analytic, investigative and problem solving skills
  • Willingness to “roll up your sleeves”
  • Energetic, hard-working and highly motivated
  • Excellent communications and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of staff
  • High Energy Level with Willingness to Become Involved in all aspects of Business Operations to Improve Efficiency and Profitability
  • Proficiency with Excel, Access and Microsoft AX

CUSTOMER SERVICE MANAGER

The Position

We are currently looking to hire a CUSTOMER SERVICE MANAGER, reporting to the CFO whose responsibilities include:

  • Responsible for the overall management of the Customer Service Department and representatives.
  • Responsible for maintaining unrivaled/timely response to all customer service related calls.
  • Provides direction and supervision to the customer service representatives. Responsible for staffing, training, direction, and performance reviews for the customer service representatives.
  • Responsible for all phases of customer service involved with the processing of customer related items.
  • Liaises with the Sales managers, Warehouse returns staff, Product development management & Web management.
  • Responsible for monitoring that all Customer Service functions are being performed and taking corrective action where and when required.
  • Empowered to resolve customer service problems.
  • Supervises and reviews the accuracy of return authorization requests.
  • Interacts with the accounting, shipping/receiving, Finance / reimbursement departments to assure prompt customer service and to resolve accounts receivable issues, when appropriate.
  • Assists Customer Service Representatives with difficult calls or situations.
  • Answers customer correspondence needing assistance.
  • Ensures adequate phone coverage for customer support, including after hours, weekends and holiday coverage.
  • Provides input from the Customer Service perspective on website development/enhancements.
  • Coordinates Customer Service input to marketing programs and communication.
  • Participates in new product launch teams as requested
  • Other duties as required

Minimum Qualifications

  • Proven experience (3 to 5 Years) in direct line supervision of Customer Service/Call Center Operations.
  • Knowledge of automated order entry return authorization systems.
  • 3 – 5 years, prior telephone sales and customer service experience.
  • Intermediate to advanced computer skills in various software packages and experience with the Internet.
  • Proven ability to interact with customers and colleagues, to resolve difficult customer service issues.
  • Must be able to work with minimal supervision and possess excellent written and oral skills to effectively communicate with customers and the hearing impaired.
  • Prior manufacturer experience is desirable.

DIRECT TO CONSUMER ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE

The Position

The direct to consumer sales team works with private collectors and corporations to provide them with the most reputable hand signed sport memorabilia and sports services in the industry. The direct to consumer sales division is utilized by clients and companies for personal collections, corporate events, employee benefits, and client entertainment.

The Steiner Sports direct to consumer account executive will be responsible for initiating and maintaining relationships with existing Steiner Sports clients and aggressively pursuing new business opportunities. This position requires 2-3 years of sales experience with a focus on telephone sales. The position will report directly to the direct to consumer sales director. The goal for this position is to continue to build Steiner Sports retail sales effort into a large, revenue producing initiative.

Responsibilities

  • Create new business opportunities and cultivate existing relationships.
  • Call on existing clients and new leads on a daily basis.
  • Must be able to meet sales goals and volume of outbound calls.
  • Support other divisions with in Steiner Sports Marketing
  • Attend charity and other industry related events
  • Must be able to handle a fast paced working environment
  • Must have general computer skills (MS office, outlook, power point, excel, etc.)
  • Must have a passion for sports
