A Fixture at the Original Yankee Stadium 1923-2008 the centerfield bleachers commonly referred to as The Black served two distinct purposes. Located directly behind the pitchers back The Black functioned as batters eye providing contrast against the white baseball for purposes of hitting. Secondly it served as a target for some of the most mammoth home runs in Yankee Stadium history. This 8x10 photo plaque collage features a graphic overlay and description on the history of The Black from the Original Yankee Stadium and comes with an authentic game-used piece of Yankee Stadium black bleacher.
