After bringing important pieces together, they were becoming regulars in the NBA Playoffs and found themselves among the contenders. One of the key pieces for Denver was Aaron Gordon, the star forward acquired in a trade from the Orlando Magic in 2021. Gordon put together one of his best seasons in 2022-23, with 16.3 points, 6.6 rebounds, and 3 assists per game. Michael Porter Jr., the Nuggets' first round pick in the 2018 NBA Draft, also was one of the most important contributors, recording 17.4 points and 5.5 rebounds per game. Peyton Watson, a first round pick of the most recent NBA Draft, brought some youth to the team as the rookie showed he can contribute on both sides of the ball. Altogether, Denver put together a 53-29 record that season and entered the NBA Playoffs as the top seed in the Western Conference. With the help of Gordon, Porter Jr., and Watson, the Nuggets dominated against all three Western Conference opponents in the playoffs before beating the Miami Heat in five games in the NBA Finals, winning the franchise's first ever title. This basketball is autographed by Aaron Gordon, Michael Porter Jr, and Peyton Watson.
