After overseeing successful Phoenix Suns teams as an executive, Kerr later was hired as head coach of the young, up-and-coming Golden State Warriors. In his first year, the Warriors rode a 67-15 record to an NBA Championship, the team's first of a dynasty run of four championships in eight years.
