Last night Fresno St. took down Boise St. 74-67. The real hero of the game was a young boy sitting behind the basket.
Late in the first half there was a loose ball that resulted in the ball getting wedged underneath the shot clock. Players start using all the normal ideas of how to get it out, they throw a different basketball at it, and use the floor mop to try to hit it out. Nobody could get it out, not even a 6'11" freshman. That is when the boy and his father saw an opportunity and leaped into action.
The dad carries his son onto the court and hoists him up. The kid climbs up and knocks the ball out as if he has done it hundreds of times. The crowd goes wild and even a few "MVP" chants start up.
