Mayweather and McGregor Have First Press Conference

Last night, coverage was rampant on a couple main story lines stemming from the day. One highlight being the first face-off between Conor McGregor and Floyd Mayweather, officially initiating the promotion leading up to their boxing match in August.

Floyd Mayweather and Conor McGregor Face Off

Floyd Mayweather and Conor McGregor held the first promotional event leading up to their fight on August 26th. T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas is set to be the venue for the showdown between the undefeated boxing superstar Floyd Mayweather Jr. and UFC lightweight champion Conor McGregor.

The first of four press conferences, which was held in Los Angeles last night, had plenty of drama. The trash-talking was rampant surrounding what is set to be the most lucrative fight in history. At one point, Floyd decided to flaunt his earnings and pulled out a check for $100 million.

As mentioned, the LA presser is the first of four press conferences which the two will participate in over the next few days.

Here’s the full schedule for the whistle-stop tour:
Los Angeles, USA— Staples Centre, Tuesday July 11
Toronto, Canada — Budweiser Stage, Wednesday July 12
New York City, USA — Barclays Centre, Thursday July 13
London, UK — SSE Wembley Arena, Friday July 14

Here is what Conor McGregor had to say (some profanity):

No one really knows what to expect in the next month-and-half, because with these two characters anything can happen. Who do you think will win on Saturday, August 26th?
