Ohio State Football Fans Caused an Earthquake vs. Michigan

A comprehensive study being conducted by students at The Ohio State University, Miami University of Ohio and the Ohio Geological survey have concluded that during Saturday's Ohio State vs. Michigan matchup, fans at Ohio Stadium registered a 5.79 magnitude on the Richter Scale.

"Shake the Shoe," as the project has been aptly named, was inspired by Marshawn Lynch's Beastquake from a January 2011 Seahawks playoff game against the New Orleans Saints at CenturyLink Field (previously Qwest Field).

The 5.79 on Saturday came as Curtis Samuel crossed the goal line and scored the game-winning touchdown in the 2nd OT, giving Ohio State the win and almost assuring them of a spot in the College Football Playoff.

Wild day for a stadium-record in attendance.
