On This Day: Kirby Puckett's Amazing Leap and Walk-Off

It was just the top of the third inning, but if you're a baseball fan, you have an image engrained in your head of a slow-motion leap over a wall and slam into plexiglas by Minnesota Twins legend Kirby Puckett that will never be forgotten.

On this date in 1991, it was Game 6 of the World Series with the Twins down 3-2 in the series to the Atlanta Braves as Puckett made the iconic play:

Of course, Puckett would then go on to break the 0-0 tie in the 10th inning with a walk-off home run that he hit into the left-center-field seats. Jack Buck, who had the TV call that night, famously said, "We'll see you tomorrow night!"
