On This Day: Reggie Jackson Became Mr. October

When you're hot, you're hot and on October 18, 1977 in Game 6 of the World Series, Reggie Jackson was on absolute fire. The Hall of Famer hit three home runs for the New York Yankees in iconic fashion and electrified a raucous Yankee Stadium crowd en route to clinching the franchise's 21st world championship.

With chants of, "REGGIE! REGGIE! REGGIE!" raining down on the field, this game helped cement Jackson's legacy in the Bronx (and it was just his first season on the team.
