Steiner Sports to Celebrate Anniversary of Yankees' 1996 World Series Win in New York City

Steiner Sports is hosting a VIP party to commemorate the 20th Anniversary of the 1996 World Series Champion New York Yankees. Taking place on August 15th at Hudson Terrace from 7-9pm, Mariano Rivera, Tino Martinez, Andy Pettitte, Darryl Strawberry, Cecil Fielder, Jim Leyritz, and World Series MVP John Wetteland will be in attendance to meet and greet fans that want to remember this historic team.

It was Game 6 and the Yankees were leading the Atlanta Braves in the series 3-2. Joe Giradi hits a triple in the 3rd inning, giving the Yankees a 1-0 lead. 

With Giradi on third base, Derek Jeter hit a single, bringing him home. The Yankees take a 2-0 lead.

Jeter steals second then scores on a single by Bernie Williams. Now up 3-0. The Braves score in the 4th and 9th innings, but the Yankees bring it home when Charlie Hayes catches the final out:
