Tim Tebow Homers After Promotion

This week the New York Mets promoted Tim Tebow.  The move received much criticism because he hit just .220, with 69 strikeouts in his time with the Columbia Fireflies. The promotion moved him up to the Single-A St. Lucie Mets, who played a double-header yesterday versus the Palm Beach Cardinals.

From what he's shown us since transitioning to baseball from football, Tebow seems to just take the criticism in stride and ignores any of the negativity. He went right to work proving the haters wrong by notching a single and walking in the first game of the day.

Then, in the bottom of the second inning of the second game, Tebow crushed a 3-1 pitch over the the fence, just left of center field for a two-run homerun.

The 29-year-old former college football standout finished the day going 3/5 with 2 RBI.

No one really knows what the Mets' long-term plan is. However, the one thing that is for certain is that it has already been one incredible ride. The intrigue surrounding this legend continues to grow each step of the way.
