Top 5 Moments of David Wright's Career

Today, the New York Mets announced they will be activating and starting third baseman David Wright for the first time in two-and-a half-years on September 29th.

September 29th's game appears to be the end of the road for the Mets Captain and 7 time All-Star; who has struggled to return to game action due to shoulder, back, and neck injuries that have all required major surgery.

As of today, Wright leads all past and present Mets in RBI, doubles, total bases, runs, hits, walks, and extra base hits.

Here are the 5 best moments from #5's excellent career:

#5 - When he walked off against the greatest closer of all time

#4 - When he crushed a 470 ft. home run in his first at bat of 2015

#3 - When he hit a walkoff grand slam in the World Baseball Classic and earned his "Captain America" nickname

#2 - When he made one of the best barehanded catches you will ever see

#1 - When he homered and knocked in 4 runs in Game 3 of the 2015 World Series
