Bryce Harper is one of the most well-rounded players to step foot on an MLB Field. The scary Part? He is not even halfway done with his career.

Bryce Harper—born in Las Vegas, Nevada, knew he wanted to play in the MLB from a very young age. He graduated from high school early in order to be able to attend the College of Southern Nevada. He would win the 2010 Golden Spike award—the country’s best amateur player—and would later go on to be drafted first overall in the 2010 draft by the Washington Nationals.

Harper would absolutely tear in up while playing Minor League ball in the Nationals farm system. He began his career by batting an absurd .399 in spring training. He would be sent to Class A. he would start off a little bit slow in Class A but he knew something was not correct with his eyesight. He would get his eye sight fixed after being told he had some of the worst eyes that his optometrist had ever seen. In his first 20 games after receiving contact lenses, Harper hit .480 while having 7 home runs and 10 doubles in the span.  Later that same summer, he was already promoted to Class AA.

Harper’s MLB career started early in 2012 and he did not show any signs of slowing down in comparison to his Minor League days. He went on to win rookie of the year in the 2012 season. Harper would be on of the most feared hitters the league in terms of both contact and power. He as also a major threat to steal a base at any moment. In 2015, Harper was named the unanimous League MVP for the National League. After a very impressive seven year stint with the Washington Nationals, Bryce Harper decided he needed a change of scenery and decided to join division rival—The Philadelphia Phillies. Harper went on to sign the biggest a contract in major sport history as it was 13 years and $330 million.

As Harper entered his eighth MLB season at only 26 years old, he is already on his way to an Hall of Fame resume. On top of winning the 2015 MVP, he has also been selected to six all star games, as well as winning the Hank Aaron award, which is awarded to the league’s top hitter each season.
