At a young age, Tiger Woods was considered to be a golf prodigy, learning the game from his father Earl Woods who trained Tiger on the game of at the local navy golf course starting at the age of two. By the time he was seven years old, Tiger Woods had already graced the pages of Golf Digest and made several television appearances. As he grew older Tiger ascended to the top amateur player in all of California and eventually the country. By the age of 20, Tiger Woods had become the first golfer ever to win three consecutive U.S. amateur championships in additional to winning the men's NCAA individual golf championship.

in 1996, After winning his 3rd straight U.S. Amateur title, Tiger Woods announced he was turning pro and immediately signed lucrative endorsement deals with Titleist & Nike, at the time the two deals were the richest endorsement deals in the history of golf. He would go on to win the 1997 Masters and become the youngest golfer to every win golfs signature tournament, which he has won five times in total (97', 01', 02', 05, & 19')

After a disappointing 1998, Tiger Woods stormed back winning 8 PGA Tour events in 1999. In 2000 he would win six consecutive tour events. a year which also saw him win his first U.S. Open, PGA Championship & Open Championship which helped him complete his career grand slam. Tiger would continue his dominance during the first decade of the century winning the U.S. Open again in 2002 & 2008. He'd go on to win the Open Championship in 2005 & 2006, The PGA Championship in 2000, 2006, and 2007

Following his 2008 US Open Win, Tiger Woods began to battle multiple injuries and off the course issues that sidelined him on and off for the better part of 8 seasons. Woods finally returned to full health and began to add to his legacy in 2018 with excellent performances in the Open Championship and PGA Championship. Woods would go on to win the 2018 Tour Championship, his first win on tour in 5 years. Coming off a resurgent season in 2018, Tiger won his first major title in 2019 Capturing the green jacket at August National for his 5th masters win.

Tiger Woods is one of the greatest golfers to ever play the game. His 15 major championships victories rank him 2nd all-time behind Jack Nicklaus's record 18 major wins. His 81 PGA tour wins rank him 2nd all-time in wins just behind the great Sam Snead who has 82 career wins.
