The look was so popular that after a hiatus, the colors were brought back for good in 2011. The logo also was popular enough to be featured on alternate throwback jerseys, and heavily inspired the new logo in 2024. Quinton Byfield is one of the players that is tasked with ushering in this new era of Kings hockey. The second overall pick of the 2020 NHL Draft has continued each year with the Kings and experienced a breakout season in 2023-24. Byfield scored 55 points on 20 goals to help lead Los Angeles to the playoffs, where he also scored his first career playoff goal.
