While it's too early in either player's career to tell how they will pan out Wright got his first chance to prove himself to the team that passed over him on December 7, 2022 when the Seattle Kraken hosted the Montreal Canadiens. Wright didn't miss on his opportunity scoring just 4:30 into the first period on a pass from Oliver Bjorkstrand to tie the game at 1. When asked after the game if there was any extra motivation in playing against the team that passed him up Wright responded with "Maybe a little bit". Still, being his first NHL goal and coming against the Canadiens, it will be one of the more memorable moments of Wright's young career and one he's not soon to forget. This image is autographed by Shane Wright.
