Miguel Andujar has taken a remarkable path to becoming a New York Yankee. Born in the Dominican Republic, he was discovered by the New York Yankees as a potential prospect at the age of 15.
At the age of 16, Miguel was signed to his first professional contract by the Yankees, making his professional debut in 2012.
After working his way through the Yankees minor league system, Miguel made his major league debut on June 28th, 2017 vs the Chicago White Sox, going 3 for 4 with four runs batted in, which broke the club record for most RBI's in a player's first game. After his breakout game, Miguel was sent back down to triple-A Scranton Wilkes Barre where he could be an everyday player for the railriders.
After a red-hot 2018 Spring Training, Andujar found himself back in the major leagues after an April 1st call-up. Known for his pure hitting ability he is viewed as a mainstay at third base for the Yankees for many years to come.
