Although a great all-around player, the Southern California native had amazing talent as a defender and great digging ability. In 2001, May-Treanor teamed up with Kerri Walsh Jennings and from there they went on a historic run to become the best ever beach volleyball duo. They had success both internationally and nationally in the AVP Tour. In addition to four MVP awards and five Best Offensive Player awards in the AVP, May-Treanor also won three Best Defender awards. She helped pave the way for beach volleyball by making a name for herself, and she has since dedicated herself to coaching to pass along her knowledge to the next generation of beach volleyball players.Misty May-Treanor has autographed this image in silver paint pen.
