After struggling early on in the year Osaka would play in the Cincinnati Open in late August, facing four players each ranked in the 20s and defeating them all to advance to the final before defaulting against Victoria Azarenka due to a hamstring injury. The following week she would play in the US Open where she would again not lose a single match she played. Facing Victoria Azarenka in the final for the second straight tournament she would not be denied this time defeating Azarenka 1-6, 6-3, 6-3. This would be Osaka's second US Open title in three years. She would end 2020 on top as this would be the last tournament she would play in the year due to the hamstring injury. Osaka has autographed & inscribed "U.S. Open Champ" on this limited edition (50) Sports Illustrated cover reprint from December 2020, 15" x 20" image in silver paint pen. Her signature and inscription is deemed authentic by virtue of Upper Deck Authenticated's Five-Step Process.
